ACCA is a leading global accountancy accreditation body. It offers assessments for a variety of qualifications and has over 700,000 students and members worldwide.
Students have to pass exams, complete an ethics module, and log practical experience to become ACCA accredited. However, students found it confusing and frustrating having to log into different portals to progress in each area.
I was contracted to help design a new student portal that brought all the different services together.
My involvement
- Mapped out complex customer journeys, including student registration, preparing for exams, and tracking progress through the qualification.
- Produced UI designs using ACCA's existing design system and iterated rapidly based on acceptance criteria and research insights.
- Lead cross-disciplinary workshops to gather requirements for complex features, such as authentication, profile switching, and notifications.
- Worked with other designers to contribute new styles and components to the design system.
- Collaborated with developers and reviewed their work.
